Roast asparagus


Put your asparagus in a roasting pan, turn on the broiler of your oven. (The low broil setting, if you have it.) Sprinkle the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Broil in the oven until the asparagus is cooked. (You can hear the oil crackling, which was my clue.)

After the asparagus is cooked, sprinkle with cheese. The cheese I used was an Italian blend that Tara got at the store. Turn the oven off, put the asparagus back in until the cheese melts.

I will never cook asparagus in a different way again. Seriously, it was that good.

It was soooooooooo good. The best asparagus I've ever had, and I love asparagus so obviously I've had some good ones.
